PATROL CRAFT OPERATIONS RIVERINE
SCOPE OF WORK
Training is designed for skilled operators to receive the specialized training necessary to safely and effectively plan and execute patrol craft operations in riverine environments that support maritime interdiction, counter-terrorism, and counter-narcotics missions. In addition to the general prerequisites, students should be familiar with small craft operations and be in good physical shape.
This course consists of instruction in riverine patrol craft familiarization, first aid, mission planning, navigation, seamanship, the use of GPS, grid maps, radar and night vision equipment, basic communications, principles of board and search, patrol formations, weapons training, patrol craft movement and formations during daylight and night time hours, insertion and extraction of forces, immediate action drills. A final riverine field training exercise will be conducted at the end of the course to ensure that all students have accomplished course objectives.
